DescriptionWearable monitoring devices are becoming a common commodity on the market, especially for sports and physical activity tracking. However, the market for specialised wearable devices for high-risk professionals, such as assistance, rehabilitation, the military, fire and rescue, law enforcement, etc., remains untapped. In this project, a wearable instrument prototype based on reconfigurable technologies and able to monitor and characterise motion will be developed. You will be able to use a particular sensors and link it to link a microcontroller (Arduino/Raspberry), gather, filter, and transmit data. After consulting with the supervisor, the exact application can be confirmed.
PreparationConfident in Python/C++ programming languages/tools. Keen to work on hardware and software integration.
